TTGBC Executive 2016-2017

Rudranath Singh

Rudranath Singh holds a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering, an MSC in Construction management from the University of the West Indies. He is also PMP certified and has been the chairman of the committee which initiated the formation of the Trinidad and Tobago Green Building Council. Rudranath has been a LEED accredited professional and has a keen interest in the Green Building practices. He has more than 25 years working experience in both the private and public sectors in the field of building construction, maintenance and project management. He has also had work assignments in Mexico and South Korea. Rudranath is employed as the Programme Manager for the Chaguaramas Development Authority, a position in which he seeks to incorporate Green Building technologies and practice to the development of the Chaguaramas Peninsula and Offshore Islands.

Adelwyn Holder
VP Marketing & Communications

Adelwyn Holder is a Project Manager with over seventeen years of cross-functional experience gained through the delivery of various architectural, engineering, construction, business, and non-profit projects throughout Trinidad & Tobago and the southern English-speaking Caribbean. He is also the Managing Director of Ikigai Consulting; President and Co-Founder of the Scleroderma Care Foundation, a local non-profit organization which focuses on various aspects of research, care, and education for Scleroderma patients. Adelwyn holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management from the Henley Business School, Bachelors of Arts (with Honors) in Business Management from the Anglia Ruskin University; and is also LEED® Green Associate Certified.

Ryan Cudjoe
VP Advocacy & Awareness

Ryan Cudjoe is a LEED Green Associate who also holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Sustainable Energy Management with distinction. He was a Team Leader in his MBA cohort. Ryan currently works at Energy Dynamics Ltd as a Technical Sales and Energy Consultant. Prior to that, he was a New Business Account Associate and Corporate Communications Ambassador at Sagicor Life Inc. Ryan has also held the position of Health, Safety and Environmental Officer at Methanex Ltd. Ryan’s focus is on renewable energy, energy efficiency, green building, corporate sustainability and sustainable development in Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean region. He possesses consultancy, leadership, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, project management, marketing and customer service skills. Ryan has been a member of the TTGBC since 2011 and has held a previous Executive Member post as VP of Advocacy & Awareness. 

Kerone Yearwood
VP Research & Development

Kerone holds a BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying from the Heriot Watt University and an HND in Building Services Engineering from BTEC. He possesses the Facilities Management Professional designation from IFMA and is a LEED Green Associate. Beginning his career in the Built Environment at Petrotrin and currently at COLFIRE Kerone has a deep rooted interest in issues of Environmental and Corporate Sustainability relative to the Built Environment. He was the ATTIC representative on the Trinidad and Tobago Building Code Committee from 2012 – 2015 and continues to support the furtherance of standardization and licensing our Design, Construction and Engineering Sectors.

Joel Le Gendre

Joel Le Gendre is a Mechanical Engineer with more than 10 years experience in manufacturing sector, majoring in computer aided design and development, 3D modelling, and CNC programming. Joel has just completed a MSc in Production Engineering & Management at the University of the West Indies, and submitted a research project where the impact of a vegetated roof on the thermal behaviour of a concrete dwelling was investigated. This project was driven by his focus on sustainable living in Trinidad and Tobago, and the belief that we bear the responsibility, now, in our everyday lives for the quality of life of the future citizens of the earth. Joel currently works as an energy efficiency consultant, specializing in the area of lighting and lighting controls.

Devanand Ragbir
VP Advocacy & Awareness, Past Executive 2010-2013, President 2011-2012, Founding Member, and Director

Devanand Ragbir is a registered Mechanical Engineer with over 15 years experience in all aspects of building construction services. His focus for the last few years has been on sustainable buildings and he is one of the Founding Members and an executive member of the Trinidad & Tobago Green Building Council.  Devanand has been certified by the USGBC’s Green Building Certification Institute as a LEED Accredited Professional in Operations & Maintenance of buildings. His objective is to promote and encourage green awareness by educating stakeholders on best practice.

Mandilee Newton
Immediate Past President (Past Executive 2010-2015, Founding Member and Director)

Mandilee Newton is a Registered Architect (Board of Architecture of Trinidad + Tobago) and Director at acla:works architecture + interiors. She has over 10 years experience in the industry throughout Jamaica, Barbados, and Trinidad. With a primary focus on sustainability, she is a LEED AP with Building Design + Construction speciality; and an advocate for green design and sustainability within the Caribbean. She is a Founding Member and Past President of the Trinidad and Tobago Green Building Council, where she has also served as a Director, Vice President of Research & Development, and Treasurer. Mandilee has authored and presented various papers on sustainability, including "Sustainability in the Caribbean Context" and "LEED - A Caribbean Architect's Perspective".

Christian Tom Yew

Christian Tom Yew is the Business Development Marketing Manager at a leading regional energy solutions firm with a focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy, responsible for developing and leading the implementation of business development and marketing strategies. He has gained tremendous commercial exposure having worked for a number of leading multinationals in brand marketing and sales positions. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a double major in Marketing and Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations from Saint Mary's University Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada. He is also a graduate of the Cambridge University Judge School of Business General Management Programme and gained a diploma in Energy Management from North Carolina State University. Christian has a particular interest in our built history and the formalisation of a national building code for Trinidad and Tobago.
