The overarching aim of the Smarter Green Building Competition is to give Form 3 students throughout Trinidad and Tobago an opportunity to expand their awareness and education of Green Building and nurture them into passionate pioneers in the promotion of green building principles, concepts, and technologies.

The Competition aims to do five (5) things:

• Inform and Promote Green building concepts and its related Green building standards in primary schools.
• Nurture critical and creative thinking by encouraging the school, community and students to express their creative ideas on green building concepts.
• Guide students to what it means to have a Green life and examine career opportunities as a result of exposure to the Circular Economy whilst at School.
• Stimulate behavioural changes towards a green lifestyle in students who can share their ideas with their families and peers.
• Contribute to the world wide movement on Climate Change preparedness and mitigation.
