Who Can Enter

  • Entries must be team entries.
  • All team members must be students in Form 3 or Form 4 to participate.
  • All students must be currently enrolled in a school in Trinidad & Tobago.
  • Maximum number of students per team is six (6).
  • Each school may enter up to two (2) teams.
  • Each team must have a teacher or staff representative assigned as a Team Supervisor.

How To Enter

  • To enter each team must complete and submit an entry form.
  • All entry forms are submitted electronically through TTGBC website here.
  • Each team must submit a unique entry form.
  • Each section of the entry form must be completed

What To Enter

Each entry consists of two parts:

  1. Written project summary
  2. Digital Multimedia Presentation upload

Teams may use any electronic multimedia to support their project. This can be the form of:

  • Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
  • Photographs and pictures
  • Text documents
  • Spreadsheets
  • Videos or movies (less than 3 minutes duration)
  • Graphic designs or artwork
  • Music and/or sound recordings
  • Drawings/Sketches (CAD or manual)
  • Digital 3D models
  • Scanned documents

Total project multimedia uploads are limited to 10 MB total per entry. Multimedia data must be original content created by the team. Teams may also use license-free content from websites such as unsplash.com and freemusicarchive.org.

The Digital Multimedia Presentation must not contain any personally identifiable information that would divulge the identity of the school or the entrants. This includes any information such as school badge, students in uniform, school name or school insignia. If there is a violation, you will be disqualified from the competition.

No changes to the entries may be made once the entry has been submitted.

When To Enter

The contest opens on Tuesday 1st October 2019
The deadline for entry is Wednesday 27th November 2019 at 5 PM EST

Judging

The judging will take place in two phases

Phase 1
TTGBC Executive will review and score all entries and shortlist the top 10 highest scoring entries.

Phase 2
Each of the shortlisted teams will then be required to present their project to a panel of expert judges. The judges will then select the top three winners.

Each project will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Application and understanding of Green Building concepts 40%
  • Originality and creativity 20%
  • Presentation skills 20%
  • Feasibility 20%

The judges’ decisions are final.

Other Information

All presentations submitted remain the property of their respective creators. By entering the competition, the creators grant Trinidad & Tobago Green Building Council (TTGBC) non-exclusive right to use the presentations in the promotion of the competition and in the promotion of future green building competitions.
