Roger Salloum is a LEED Green Associate and the Managing Director of Rascorp (Caribbean) Ltd. a locally owned and managed company specializing in Facilities Management, Project Management and Consulting. He holds a diploma in International Business and Marketing from St. Mary’s University in Halifax, and his passion for commercial real estate led him to obtain further education from the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC), the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), the Appraisal Institute of Canada, the Building Owner’s Manager’s Association (BOMA), the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) and the Project Management Institute (PMI). Roger lived and worked in Canada for approximately eighteen years before returning to Trinidad in 1995. He has a Facility Management Professional (FMP) designation, and is also pursuing further qualifications as a Certified Facility Manager (CFM) and Sustainable Facility Professional (SFP). He has been involved in many facets of commercial real estate including planning, development, management, and operations and maintenance. He has worked on many commercial projects locally, regionally and in Canada and has over twenty (20) years experience in the field. In 1999 he started the first independent Facilities Management company in the country, and developed and brought to fruition the first and foremost Caribbean Facilities Management and Maintenance Conference and Expo which is hosted through the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce. He is completely committed to his mission of developing the field of Facilities and Project Management in Trinidad and Tobago by raising industry standards, perceptions, and practices to an international level, and promoting public understanding of the necessity for and the economic and social value of using a responsible and sustainable approach to development and management.
